Glen Huntly Station - Then and Now

Glen Eira City Council Gallery Two

1 - 25 February 2024

This exhibition shows selected paintings and drawings that were the result of looking at a local level crossing removal project in my local neighbourhood of Glen Huntly. Eight sketchbooks were filled with observations from the pavements of nearby streets. They were used to maintain a diary of progression on the social media site @lookatmelbourne on Instagram. This in itself became a focus throughout the construction as it was evident that the project was in the process of making a significant change, not just to the look of the station, but to the future use of this particular urban space.
